Q + A

Autumn Cocktail Attire

First and foremost, please wear (or bring) layers!! We are in the mountains, at the higher elevation a lower temperature can still feel quite warm. We recommend wearing layers or packing a sweater as the evenings can get chilly.

Ladies, please wear mid-length to floor-length dresses, keeping fall-inspired colors in mind—think warm tones, rich neutrals, and seasonal hues that complement the autumn setting. To accommodate the mountain terrain we recommend wearing block style heels or wedges over stilettos.

Gentlemen, suits or dressy separates are welcome.

Thank you for helping us create a beautifully coordinated and elegant atmosphere!

Things to Do in South Lake TahoeWe’re so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful South Lake Tahoe! Whether you’re making a long weekend out of it or just stopping by for the festivities, here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy the area during your stay. Take in the Fall SceneryLate September is one of the best times to visit Tahoe. The summer crowds have eased, the weather is crisp and sunny, and the changing leaves add a golden glow to the mountains. Bring layers—it can be warm during the day and cool in the evenings. Ride the Heavenly GondolaFor stunning panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains, hop on the gondola ride. At the top, you’ll find scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and a great spot for photos. Go for a HikeThere are trails for every level nearby. For a short but rewarding hike with beautiful views check out Eagle Falls & Eagle Lake . Van Sickle Bi-State Park is a scenic trail starting near town. For a more challenging hike with incredible views check out Mount Tallac. Relax by the LakeSpend some time soaking up the beauty of Tahoe’s famous shoreline. Pack a picnic, rent a kayak or paddleboard, or take a refreshing (and brisk!) swim. Get Out on the WaterBoat rentals and guided cruises are a great way to experience the lake from a new perspective. Sunset cruises are especially magical this time of year. Enjoy Local Food & DrinksSouth Lake Tahoe has plenty of great spots to unwind-- cozy cafes for brunch; lakeside restaurants for dinner; and casual bars and breweries for a night out. Try Your Luck (or Just Explore)If you're feeling lucky, check out the nearby casinos on the Nevada side. Even if gambling isn’t your thing, they often have live music, shows, and nightlife. Stroll Through TownExplore local shops, grab coffee, or just enjoy wandering through the village area. One of our favorite Tahoe moments is grabbing a Wet Woody at Riva Grill and soaking in the lake views. It’s the perfect way to slow down, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take it all in. Wedding Party

From “Oh Cool” to “I Do”

We met the way many people in our generation do these days: on a dating app. It’s where introductions happen, conversations start, and—every once in a while—something real begins. Our story really took off in the Instagram DMs, where Tyler enthusiastically messaged, and Cassie responded with what can best be described as polite acknowledgment—usually in the form of “oh cool.” Tyler shared a driving range post. Oh cool. Then an ASU game. Oh cool. Then came a snowboarding photo. This time, instead of “oh, cool,” Cassie asked if Tyler gave lessons. His response: “For you, I will.” Sensibly, Cassie suggested meeting somewhere public first—just in case—so our first date took place at the driving range, which felt fitting given how it all began. A week later (and after a few casual dinner dates), we found ourselves driving up Highway 50 for our first snowboarding day at Heavenly. Cassie was still learning, Tyler politely pretended not to notice every fall, and somehow that single trip turned into fourteen more that winter—including Christmas Eve, in the middle of a snowstorm. The rest of the year unfolded quickly: blending our fur families, making a home together, and discovering that vaulted ceilings are, in fact, the enemy of sourdough. In November, during what Cassie thought was a simple day trip to Tahoe, Tyler got down on one knee. Thanks to some very helpful strangers, the moment was captured on video—though Cassie said yes before the ring box was even open, so the suspense was short-lived. Now, we’re inviting our favorite people to join us in one of our favorite places as we say “I do.” P.S. Our first kiss happened at this resort.
